Description

Legal Aid of Arkansas is a non-profit organization 501(c) 3 that provides free legal services to low-income people residing in the state of Arkansas in civil (non-criminal) cases.

Their mission is to improve the lives of Arkanian citizens on low incomes by supporting equal access to justice for all, regardless of economic or social circumstances.
Due to limited resources, the legal assistance of the Arkansas working groups sometimes has to make difficult decisions about the cases to be accepted.

The Legal Assistance Workgroup has created a set of guidelines, "Case Accepting Priorities," to help determine which cases to accept based on the priority of the organization.

Legal Aid of Arkansas has established a maximum income level for different family sizes.

The maximum income level is 125% of the federal anti-poverty guidelines.

These numbers are the maximum levels.
If certain factors are present, legal aid may be waived up to 200% in unusual or justified circumstances.

Call their hotline to see if you qualify for free legal aid.
Arkansas Legal Aid can't help with criminal problems, including traffic tickets.

Cases involving the payment of fees are not accepted.
If you are unsure, call anyway.
