Description

Legal Aid of Arkansas is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization that provides free legal services to low-income people residing in the state of Arkansas in civil (non-criminal) cases.

Its mission is to improve the lives of low-income Arkansans, advocating equal access to justice for all, regardless of economic or social circumstances.

Due to limited resources, Legal Aid of Arkansas working groups sometimes have to make difficult decisions on which cases to accept.

The Legal Aid Working Group has developed a set of guidelines called "Case Acceptance Priorities" to help decide which cases to accept based on the organization's priorities.

Legal aid from Arkansas has set a maximum income level for different sizes of families.

The maximum income is 125% of the Federal Anti-Poverty Guidelines.

These numbers are the maximum levels.

If certain factors are present, legal aid may waive up to 200% in unusual or meritorious circumstances.

Call the helpline to see if you qualify for free legal help.
Legal Aid of Arkansas cannot help with criminal problems, including tickets.

Fee-generating cases, such cases of personal injury are not accepted.
If you're not sure, call anyway.
