Description

Community Legal provides legal aid to low income residents in Nevada County.

They offer the following services:

•     Mediation
•     Landlord / Tenant Problems
•     Family Law
•     Small Claims Help
•     Public Benefits
•     Legal Forums Help
•     Elder Law
•     Record Clearing
•     Estate Planning

They ask for a voluntary contribution of $20, which may be waived upon request.

Their primary purpose is to serve low income individuals and seniors with legal services.

Individuals under the age of 60 qualify for pro bono legal services if income is at or below 125 percent of the current poverty threshold.

Individuals above the age of 60 qualify for services regardless of income level.

If you do not fall into one of these groups, you may qualify for their low-bono legal services program which provides lower cost legal assistance at reduced rates.
