Community legal aid, inc. (CLA) provides free civil legal services to low-income and elderly residents of central and western Massachusetts.

They do not help with the following legal issues: criminal cases, personal injury, workers' compensation, estate sales, probate of wills and estates, CHINS, care and protection cases, and other specific legal issues.

Applicants may call (855) CLA-LEGAL or (855) 252-5342 to apply. They can also apply online.

Hours of operation:

  • Between 9:30 AM and 12:15 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
  • Between 1:30 PM and 4:15 PM on Wednesday
