The Connecticut Legal Rights Project, Inc. (CLRP) is a not-for-profit, statewide agency that provides legal services to low-income people with mental illness living in hospitals or in the community on issues related to their treatment, recovery and civil rights.

CLRP represents clients according to their preferences expressed in administrative, judicial and legislative locations to enforce their legal rights and ensure that personal choices are respected and individual self-determination is protected.

Due to a lack of available resources and staff, CLRP attorneys and paralegals only represent cases with substantial legal merit and cannot accept every case.
