Colorado Legal Services is a non-profit organization that has assisted persons with low income and seniors in the state of Colorado for over 90 years.
The mission of Colorado Legal Services is to provide meaningful access to high quality, civil legal services in the pursuit of justice for as many low-income persons and members of vulnerable populations throughout Colorado as possible.
When you contact them, they will ask you questions to help them figure out if they can help you.
CLS looks at your wages and your assets (including bank accounts, etc.) in order see if you qualify to be accepted for help by their program.
They also look at the type of legal problem you are having and whether or not they have the resources available to help you.
Some but not all CLS offices can help seniors who are 60 and over regardless of income, but only if the individual problem falls within CLS priorities and if the office has the resources to provide this assistance at the times needed.
