The mission of the Southeast Louisiana Legal Service is to achieve justice for low-income people in Louisiana by enforcing and defending their legal rights through civil legal aid, advocacy and community education.
The SLLS works daily to protect victims of domestic violence from abuse, represents abused and neglected children in the foster family system, provides housing for hard-working families, helps disabled people and veterans end homelessness, protects older consumers, removes barriers to healthcare, improves health outcomes, increases access to employment and education for vulnerable people, and much more.
