• Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands is a private, non-profit organization that provides free legal services to people with low income.
• They do not take criminal cases.
• They only do civil cases cases where you yourself will not be sent to jail.
• They take as many cases as they can.
• They are sorry they dont have enough lawyers for everyone.

If they cant take your case:

• They still may be able to give you one-time legal advice. Or tell you where else you can get help.
• They also have booklets on this website.
• They may help you with your legal problem.
