Legal Services of Alabama (LSA) has seven offices and a centralized intake call center that work together to fulfill its mission statement.
Assisting low-income people, providing civil legal assistance and promoting collaboration to find solutions to the problems of poverty.
These offices are located in Birmingham, Dothan, Huntsville, Mobile, Montgomery, Selma and Tuscaloosa.

The Department of Health and Human Services sets the income amounts used to determine eligibility.
They usually change early every year.
Check your current poverty level.
The LSA eligibility level is 125% of the poverty level.
The LSA recognizes that each client's situation and legal issues are different.
If your household income is more than 125% of the federal poverty level, you may still qualify for their services.
The LSA also has special grants to help vulnerable populations that are not based on income, such as grants for the elderly, to help customers aged 60 and over.
LSA offices only handle civil cases.
Each office has attorneys licensed to practice in Alabama and other staff who know how to help low-income people solve their legal problems.
