Description

Legal Services of Northern Michigan offers a full range of legal services in most areas of civil law to people who meet federal poverty guidelines or are 60 years of age or older.

Services may be limited based on funding levels and restrictions.

Services offered:

• basic discussion of client's rights
• counseling
• preparation of letters, documents, notarial deeds and pleadings
• negotiations
• administrative hearings
• court hearings
• in some cases appeals and presentations on legal education in the community
