Description

Legal Services of Northern Michigan provides a full range of legal services in most areas of civil law for people who meet Federal poverty guidelines or who are 60 years of age or older.

Services include:

• Basic discussion of client rights
• counseling
• preparation of letters, documents, deeds, pleadings
• negotiations
• administrative hearings
• trials
• appeals, community legal education presentations.

Legal Services of Northern Michigan does not provide service for criminal cases, traffic tickets or "fee-generating" cases.

Services may be limited based upon funding levels and restrictions.
