Legal Services of Southern Missouri is a private non-profit corporation established by an Act of Congress to ensure that low-income people have equal access to the courts throughout the country.

The purpose of the LSSM is to represent and advise low-income individuals in cases involving civil matters only.They also serve the elderly

Services are free of charge.

They accept cases in the following areas of low: Domestic/Sexual Violence, Family Consumer Housing, Public Welfare, and Elder Law.
