Voluntary Rural Nevada Lawyers (VARN), registered in December 1996, with the stated purpose of providing pro bono legal services to poor rural people in northern Nevada.

Volunteer Lawyers for Rural Nevadans (VARN) believes that all people, regardless of their income and immigrant status, should have access to the civil justice system, but recognises that few have this right.

This is especially true for people in rural Nevada.

Their mission is to provide programs that help low-income residents of rural northern Nevada gain access to the civil legal system, including women, children, and immigrant victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
