NJP's mission is to ensure justice through quality legal advocacy that promotes the long-term well-being of low-income individuals, families, and communities.


As a dynamic state law firm, they pursue their mission through legal advice and representation, community partnerships and education to empower clients and fight injustice in all its forms.


The NPC generally deals with the civil legal problems faced by low-income people due to lack of income, problems with education, employment or job loss, disability, discrimination, consumer violence or illegal business practices, physical or family security, and barriers faced by low-income people when seeking government services. , seek help or access to the courts or other means of settlement or to meet their needs.


There are no fees for customers who are financially eligible for NJP services.


NJP lawyers are paid by the NJP with funds provided primarily by the federal government through the National Legal Services Corporation and by the state legislature through the Office of Civil Legal Aid.


NJP also receives limited private funding and support from the Washington Legal Foundation and the Campaign for Equal Justice.

TeamChild uses its legal expertise and community partnerships to break down barriers to community services in order to overcome the root causes of a young person's involvement in the juvenile justice system.


TeamChild works with youth, usually between the ages of 12 and 18, who come from low-income families and are involved, or are at risk of participating, in the juvenile justice system.


Some of the youth w serve are facing criminal charges.


Some have already been convicted and are on probation or probation.


Other youth may have contact with the juvenile court for dependency (foster care) issues, or for a Child in Need of Services (CHINS), Youth at Risk (ARY), or truancy petition.
