Friends of Farmworkers supports low-wage workers as they pursue economic and social justice.
They do this through the provision of Legal Services, Education, and Advocacy.
Friends of Farmworkers provides free legal representation to low-wage workers from migrant and immigrant communities for a wide variety of issues arising out of their employment.
Their current program priority areas are minimum wage and wage payment problems, violations of workers rights under federal and state protective statutes relating to employment, protecting workers from unsafe and unhealthy work conditions, remedying discrimination or retaliation against workers for exercising their legal rights, remedying discrimination in employment and housing on the basis of race, national origin, sex, disability, or familial status, remedying problems associated with substandard housing provided to groups of workers in connection with their employment and establishing eligibility rights to public benefits.
