The Pennsylvania Health Law Project offers free legal aid to Pennsylvania residents who apply for health insurance through government-funded programs or who have been denied medically necessary services.
Some examples of cases they deal with are denials of eligibility for Medicaid (Medical Assistance), refusals of services under Medical Assistance (for example, home health aides, prescription drugs, durable medical equipment), individuals struggling with their health care costs and individuals struggling with their co-paid prescription under Medicare Part D.
