Description

Friends of Farmworkers supports low-wage workers in their quest for economic and social justice.

They do this by providing legal services, education and legal services.

Friends of Farmworkers offers free legal representation to low-paid workers from migrant and immigrant communities on a wide variety of issues arising from their employment.

Their current program priority areas include minimum wage and wage issues, violations of workers' rights under federal and state employment protection statutes, protecting workers from unsafe and unhealthy working conditions, preventing discrimination or retaliation against workers for exercising their rights, employment and housing based on race, ethnicity, gender, disability or family status, addressing sub-standard housing problems provided to groups of workers in connection with their employment, and determining eligibility for public benefits.

They generally accept calls about new cases Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. M. At 6:00 p. M.
