Rappahannock Legal Services is a non-profit corporation that provides free, high-quality, civil legal assistance to low income individuals and families.

The vast majority of RLS' cases are either family (primarily custody, support and domestic violence), consumer finance, income maintenance/health, or housing.

They handle civil legal matters only.

Their program only serves low-income clients.

Applicants must meet their income requirements and asset eligibility.

Income is based on household income and can be affected by medical expenses, work expenses, and other factors.

They serve westmoreland, northumberland, richmond, lancaster, essex, king and queen, and king william counties.
