Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia provides free legal services in civil matters to qualifying low-income Virginians.
Their mission is to promote the equal application of justice and remove impediments to fairness for the low-income and vulnerable families of eastern Virginia.
They represent in many types of civil matters including landlord/tenant, public benefits, domestic violence, family law, consumer law, collections, estate planning, education and other civil rights and discrimination matters.
There are three ways to apply for services: on-line, by contacting our Central Intake unit, and in-person at a local service office.
